Hello! I am Aran

SPANISH TEACHER

I have been a Spanish teacher since 2010 and have several years of experience teaching both online and in-person, with students from many nationalities, especially adults.

I am certified to be a Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) teacher, I have a Master’s degree in Spanish Teaching, as well as other courses and training from different institutions. I also have the DELE examiner certification from the Instituto Cervantes and have had the opportunity to participate in the DELE exams as an examiner and as an assistant.

HOW DO MY CLASSES WORK?

They are very communicative, and we work on the four skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
I use materials from the best publishers dedicated to teaching Spanish. With them, we will follow the Instituto Cervantes Curriculum Plan and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. These materials cover very current topics while you learn the language and Spanish and Latin culture. Additionally, I supplement them with extra materials.

The classes last 55 minutes and are conducted via Zoom.

REMEMBER, MY SPANISH CLASSES:

THEY ARE CUSTOMIZED for you and I will dedicate the necessary time. You will have direct contact with me for any questions between classes.
If you want a different type of class package or a course tailored to you, feel free to contact me through the form.

ARAN, SPANISH TEACHER
ABOUT ME:

Aran_sfondo
I am Spanish, specifically from Madrid, and I love teaching my language, the second most spoken native language in the world.

I graduated in tourism, and before finishing my degree, I started studying to become a Spanish teacher as well. I discovered how much I enjoyed teaching Spanish when I moved to Italy to learn Italian. That’s where I got my first taste of teaching. Don’t you think that’s a bit of a paradox? I have experience as a teacher in Spanish and foreign language schools, online platforms and at the Instituto Cervantes.

Since then, I have continued taking courses to stay updated while working professionally in the tourism industry, balancing it with teaching Spanish.

My students are mainly expatriates who come to Madrid for work reasons. Therefore, I have worked in several multinational companies helping newcomers. I use a communicative methodology in teaching, as my students’ goal is to function in Spanish in everyday situations.

Currently, all my classes are online, and my range of students has expanded; some seek to improve their spoken Spanish, others are teenagers preparing for the DELE, etc.

I am an empathetic, patient, and kind person. I have also studied languages, so I am familiar with the challenges and difficulties faced by language learners.

I am adventurous and curious, an insatiable traveler; I have lived in Italy, Malta, India, and Sri Lanka. I enjoy photography, reading, music, and everything related to learning about other cultures. Are you interested?
