I am Spanish, specifically from Madrid, and I love teaching my language, the second most spoken native language in the world.
I graduated in tourism, and before finishing my degree, I started studying to become a Spanish teacher as well. I discovered how much I enjoyed teaching Spanish when I moved to Italy to learn Italian. That’s where I got my first taste of teaching. Don’t you think that’s a bit of a paradox? I have experience as a teacher in Spanish and foreign language schools, online platforms and at the Instituto Cervantes.
Since then, I have continued taking courses to stay updated while working professionally in the tourism industry, balancing it with teaching Spanish.
My students are mainly expatriates who come to Madrid for work reasons. Therefore, I have worked in several multinational companies helping newcomers. I use a communicative methodology in teaching, as my students’ goal is to function in Spanish in everyday situations.
Currently, all my classes are online, and my range of students has expanded; some seek to improve their spoken Spanish, others are teenagers preparing for the DELE, etc.
I am an empathetic, patient, and kind person. I have also studied languages, so I am familiar with the challenges and difficulties faced by language learners.
I am adventurous and curious, an insatiable traveler; I have lived in Italy, Malta, India, and Sri Lanka. I enjoy photography, reading, music, and everything related to learning about other cultures. Are you interested?
